Italy-The alliance of the rights gives in the lead of the legislative elections-polls

ROME, September 25 (Reuters) – The right-wing alliance formed by Giorgia Meloni’s Fratelli d’Italia, Matteo Salvini’s League and Silvio Berlusconi’s Forza Italia has come out on top in the legislative elections and seems assured of a majority parliamentary, according to the first polls the exit of the polls diffused Sunday.

The right and far-right bloc is credited by the polls with 41 to 45% of the vote, Fratelli d’Italia clearly ahead of its allies with 22.5 to 26.5%, which would guarantee Giorgia Meloni to become the first woman president of the Advice.

The center-left bloc formed around the Democratic Party would obtain for its part between 25.5 and 29.5%, the Five Star Movement (populist) having to settle for 13.5 to 17.5%.

Several hours will no doubt be necessary before obtaining an accurate count of the seats in the two chambers of Parliament, given the mixed voting system, combining majority voting and proportional voting. (Report by Crispian Balmer, French version Tangi Salan)
