Warner Bros. and DC are never the last to offer animated works that are a little out of the ordinary and their most classic comics. This is evidenced, for example, by the series Harley Quinn or the film Batman Ninja. And since we are talking about the famous super villain, she will once again be at the center of the atypical animated series that interests us here: Suicide Squad Isekai. As its name suggests, Task Force X will be back, but this time sent on a mission in a fantastic and violent parallel world. Sword Art Online.
A fine, colorful and explosive team
Headed by the Japanese studio Wit (Bubble), Suicide Squad Isekai therefore features Harley Quinn (Anna Nagase), but also Deadshot (Reigo Yamaguchi), Peacemaker (Takehito Koyasu), Clayface (Jun Fukuyama) and King Shark (Subaru Kimura). We are still patiently waiting for a season 2 to Peacemaker on Prime Video, but let’s move on. The Joker (Yūichirō Umehara) will also be there to complete the picture.
Directed by Eri Osada and written by Tappei Nagatsuki (Re:Zero), Suicide Squad Isekai will arrive “in 2024” on the screens. On which screens exactly you ask? Excellent question. If the possibility of streaming is not certain (perhaps via the Warner TV channel on Prime Video?), purchase or rental should at least be offered.
