On the poster for the new science fiction series, Le Pouvoir, which was launched on March 31 on Prime Video, Toni Collette confirms her interest in committed works. This dystopia adapted from Naomi Alderman’s novel of the same name imagines teenage girls developing a new power that will change the world. That of electrocuting people.
Toni Collette plays the mother of one of these teenagers who sees electricity coming out of her fingertips. She is also a woman of power, mayor of Seattle, who has to fight every day as a woman in a political universe that gives her no favors.
