TF1 broadcast the first episode of The Voice Battles. Jean-Palau made an impression with his performance. He confided in this very emotional moment.

The battles made their big comeback on Saturday April 2 on TF1. After seven episodes devoted to blind auditions, the eighth episode of The Voice was entirely dedicated to battles. During this stage the coaches must part with half of their talents. A decision that is always difficult for them and even more so this season, as the level is so high. As viewers have seen in several excerpts that tease the rest of the show, singer Florent Pagny is extremely moved during this year’s Battles.

An emotion that was felt during the performance of Kilian and Jean-Palau, two singers who are opposites and yet were in total symbiosis. Questioned by aufeminin, Jean-Palau returned to his passage in the adventure by evoking of course his blind audition. “I had a big disappointment after my audition but I hallucinated when I learned that I was drafted in more by Nolwenn Leroy. Apart from Florent Pagny, he is really THE coach I would have gone to. I do not believe it. This adventure is a real emotional roller coaster!”

The singer continues by evoking his meeting with Kilian and Nolwenn Leroy, which he describes as mystical. “We arrive in the Kilian room and I and we are terrified. But when we face Nolwenn Leroy, we realize that she is more stressed than us. It’s one of the highlights of the show for me.” Impossible for Jean-Palau not to approach his job as a farmer. “Florent Pagny remembered me as a farmer and I hope that after the battles he remembers me above all as a singer” he said before adding “I understand that people may think that the two professions are incompatible because one is very rural and manual and the other is more bling-bling. But I think being a farmer helps me keep my feet on the ground. I have a simple life and surroundings and I’m proud of it.”
