Thursday April 7, 2022, Alessandra Sublet announced in the columns of Parisian that she was ending her career as a host. As she prepares to change careers, the pretty brunette spoke about the sequel to It’s Canteloup.
Arrived on TF1 at the start of the 2015 school year, Alessandra Sublet is at the head of numerous programs, such as It’s Canteloup, Naked starsbut also Mystery duets. If the pretty brunette is also part of the jury of Mask Singer, she announced that she was ending her hosting career. Evoking the person who could succeed him in the satirical program featuring Nicolas Canteloup, the young woman revealed in the columns of the Parisian : “Why not a comedian? You have to combine the game and disregard the reactions of the people you are caricaturing. This is not always easy for those who cash behind their screen. I received messages from very upset people, big bosses, ministers, and even former presidents. Adding that they didn’t have this image of me. But it’s not me! We play a role, even more than in the days of the pre-credits of C à vous where we were doing the caterpillar with Patrick Cohen.“
Assuring that Nicolas Canteloup had accepted his decision, Alessandra Sublet slipped: “He immediately said to me: ‘Your choice is courageous, but I’m not surprised by you.’ It touched me a lot.“Referring to the end of her career as a host, the pretty brunette later said: “This time, it’s final (…) I take off my TV presenter costume. At TF1, it didn’t surprise them that much. In December, Ara Aprikian (headline program manager, editor’s note) and I had a conversation. I had told him of my desire to try new adventures. I have always had his support and I am attached to this chain. When I make a choice, it is because it has been carefully considered. No argument could make me change my mind.“
Alessandra Sublet: “I work at will”
During this interview, the host explained that she does not want to do something that she does not want to do. “You’ll see me a lot less, but that’s not the most important thing. Notoriety has never been a driving force for me. Nor the money for that matter“, she said before adding: “I want to devote myself to other projects, try new adventures. And that, 100%. I am a whole person.“
