Actress Sophia Bush recently declared that she hated an episode of the cult series “The Scott Brothers”, in which she played the character of Brooke Davis. Find out why!
Star of the Scott Brothers between 2003 and 2012, actress Sophia Bush does not have her tongue in her pocket when it comes to talking about the series that made her famous, like the day she returned to the inappropriate behavior of the creator of the show. No wonder, therefore, that the American recently evoked frankly a plot that she did not, and to put it mildly, not appreciate at all.
In the latest Drama Queens podcastbroadcast on Monday, Sophia Bush spoke about the 100th episode of The Scott Brothers, the twelfth of the fifth season, in which her character Brooke Davis, feeling a void in her life, wants to be a mother.
An intrigue that the actress, believing that“a baby is not a bandage”does not carry in his heart at all.
“You can see who wrote this episode as a solo writer and the misogyny that comes out of it, like, ‘I’m so incomplete, I’m successful but I’m empty inside because I can’t be happy in as a woman if I don’t have a baby””says Sophia Bush in remarks reported by our colleagues from Serieously.
“The whole episode is dripping with the fact that we didn’t have any female writers in the room to edit this or tweak its grossness.”
In the episode in question, titled The Return of the CometBrooke asks Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) to donate sperm to her when he is about to marry Lindsay (Michaela McManus).
“It’s all so disgusting – and we know why. (…) Brooke set boundaries and became friends with Lucas”says Bush. “She’s also Peyton’s #1 fan. (Hilaria Burton). Like, life and death.
She would never have said, “I know you’re in love with this man who’s about to marry someone else, but I’m just going to ask him for a quick donation of organic matter so I can make a baby out of him. .””
