Not much is known about the Xiaomi 13 series yet, but the leaker OnLeaks published renders of the Xiaomi 13 (soon after those of the 13 Pro). What to learn more about the next generation of the brand’s flagship series.
The Xiaomi 13 series is approaching, but not much is known about it. The ” leaker OnLeaks unveiled what would be the design of the Xiaomi 13 Pro and did it again a few hours later with the little brother: the Xiaomi 13.
A design in line with the Xiaomi 12
The design of this new smartphone should not differ much from that of the Xiaomi 12 released last year. Although it is good to underline the presence of straight edges which are reminiscent of the iPhone 14. The back revealed by OnLeaks tells us that we would always find three sensors – undoubtedly a main camera, an ultra-wide-angle and a telemacro. All in a photo block that abandons its rectangular shape to be square.
At the front, we would be entitled to a punch selfie sensor located in the middle of the screen. What we do see, however, is that the bezels of the screen in the corners would be reduced and of the same thickness as the bezels on the sides. A design that is homogenized in the manner of what the Nothing phone (1) offers.
Another notable change: the screen would no longer be curved as was the case on the Xiaomi 12, as Samsung or Apple have been able to do for a few years. According to OnLeaks, the screen would have a diagonal of 6.2 inches, as on the previous model. The dimensions indicated are 152.8 x 71.5 x 8.3 mm (10.3 mm including the photo block).
What we know about the Xiaomi 13
Several rumors suggest that the Xiaomi 13 will be among the first smartphones to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which has yet to be introduced. It would also be entitled to 12 GB of RAM. These Xiaomi smartphones could be entitled to a new version of MIUI, namely MIUI 14 (based on Android 13).
This series could be announced in China soon, for a late November or early December release, depending on CompareDial, which revealed the design of the smartphone with OnLeaks. The Xiaomi 13 Pro would be sold at around 820 euros in India, but would obviously be more expensive in France; for comparison, the Xiaomi 12 Pro was released in early 2022 at 1100 euros.
There could also be a Xiaomi 13 Ultra, although on the twelfth generation this mention had been reserved for the S range with the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
