its design is already revealed through these first images

Here are the first believable renders of the Google Pixel 8 Pro. They are signed OnLeaks and show two evolutions on the design, at the level of the photo module and the screen. A first official preview could be shown at Google I/O 2023.

That’s it, we know what the Google Pixel 8 Pro should look like (which was quick to make people talk about it). Once is not custom, it is the French leaker OnLeaks which reveals high definition renderings of the future smartphone, this time in partnership with the site Smartprice. As always, he relies on sources within the industry to come up with these visuals.

A new photo module for the Google Pixel 8 Pro

Thus, on the Pixel 8 Pro, Google would keep its distinctive paw on the design with a rectangular photo module crossing the back of the smartphone in its entire width. On the other hand, we can already see a difference compared to its predecessor, the Google Pixel 7 Pro. Indeed, the three cameras on the back would still be there, but not arranged in the same way.

Everybody’s talking bout the #Pixel7a I unveiled in November and #Google hasn’t made official yet. And guess what?…?

Here comes your very 1st and early look at the #Pixel8Pro! (360° video + stunning 5K renders + dimensions)

On the Pixel 7 Pro, the telephoto lens was separate from the other two cameras. On the Pixel 8 Pro, the three cameras would be grouped under the same glass plate. This rearrangement also emphasizes a small detail: under the LED flash, an additional sensor seems to be invited.

At first glance, one might think of a LiDAR to effectively manage depth. Smartprice even mentions the possibility of a sensor with macro lens, but difficult to give much credit to this track. It’s not something you usually find on high-end smartphones.

A flat screen on the program

Another interesting element is to be highlighted, but this time it hides in the front. The Pixel 8 Pro’s screen is said to be flat. Conversely, the Pixel 7 Pro opted for a curved panel on the edges. Good news for those who may have suffered from phantom supports.

In addition, it would be necessary to bet on a diagonal of approximately 6.52 inches for dimensions of 162.6 x 76.5 x 8.7 mm (12 mm thick at the level of the photo module). Almost no difference from the previous generation, apart from resizing the screen to create more rounded corners.

Inside the smartphone, we would logically find a Google Tensor G3 chip in succession to the Tensor G2 of 2022. The SoC would be engraved in 3 nm.

Head over to Google I/O for a first look?

Smartprice writes that a first glimpse of the Pixel 8 Pro could be shown at Google I/O 2023 scheduled for May 10, alongside announcements expected around Android 14. Recall that the same event in 2022 was also the chosen moment by the Mountain View firm to unveil first images to teaser its Pixel 7.
