In 2010, Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief, led by Logan Lerman, made its debut on our big screens, a first part which was to become a trilogy adapted from the saga of novels by Rick Riordan. The film was followed by a second installment in 2013, Percy Jackson: Sea of ​​Monsters and then nothing.

Ten years later, a new adaptation, this time in series, is about to see the light of day on Disney+: entitled Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the show will be available next December and a brand new trailer has just been released. published.

As SensaCine reminds us, the books (and films) before it, the series will feature the adventures of a modern 12-year-old demigod, Percy Jackson, who has just accepted his new supernatural powers when the powerful Zeus accuses him of stealing his Lightning Bolt. Percy will then have to search for him throughout the United States in order to restore order in Olympus. But first he must train with other demigods in a camp reserved for them.

Just like in Harry Potter, an iconic trio is at the heart of the series, Percy, Grover and Annabeth, who will be played respectively by young Walker Scobell, Aryan Simhadri and Leah Jeffries. The main cast is completed by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hermes), Megan Mullally (Alecto), Toby Stephens (Poseidon), Virginia Kull (Sally Jackson), Jason Mantzoukas (Dionysus), Jay Duplass (Hades), Glynn Turman (Chiron) , Adam Copeland (Ares), Charlie Bushnell (Luke Castellan) and Jessica Parker Kennedy (Medusa) and the late Lance Reddick as Zeus.
