One more couple torn apart … Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund had however received the favor of public opinion when their love story was unveiled in broad daylight, in 2019. Indeed, the two lovebirds displayed a great complicity at each of their public outings. A year later, still on their little cloud, Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund went up a gear by welcoming a son, Rhodes, born on December 27, 2020. Unfortunately, the happiness did not last. Rumors of separation had been swirling for several weeks, as the two actors hadn’t been seen together for quite some time. The dreaded news was finally confirmed this Friday, January 21: Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund are indeed separated, and has been for several weeks now. A break that comes as their son Rhodes celebrated his first birthday at the end of the year. “It’s sad but they’re doing their best to raise their son apart.”, explained a source to People magazine. “Having a baby in the middle of the pandemic was a lot harder than they thought.”
According to the newspaper, the two young parents are doing their best to support each other, despite the complicated period. “They’re really, really trying their best to get through this. Garrett really made an effort while Emma recovered from childbirth. He made sure the house was never lacking, bringing things she liked to make her feel better. She just got back to a normal routine.”

Before getting together, in March 2019, Emma Roberts had a highly publicized love affair with actor Evan Peters (American Horror Story, Mare of Eastown), from 2012 to 2019. For her part, Garrett Hedlund was in a relationship with Kirsten Dunst (whom he met on the set of the film On the road) from 2011 to 2016.
