The American manufacturer seems to be sticking to the last schedule he communicated, and Elon Musk intends to prove it to us by presenting us with a potentially definitive version of the pickup.

We no longer really believed in it, and yet: the Cybertruck would be there, and perhaps even ready to be produced and delivered.

The best product designed by Tesla

A few months ago, Tesla announced that its next vehicle would arrive in the fall of 2023, after numerous delays since 2021. The brand’s various delays were starting to get a little tiresome, suggesting that the Cybertruck wouldn’t be coming out anytime soon. Despite this, the engineers continued to work hard on the vehicle, and the numerous leaks and official presentations proved that its creators never gave up. Their work finally seems to be coming to an end, since Elon Musk himself presented us with a model ” production candidate “.

On X.com, the South African billionaire shared a photo of himself, all smiles, inside the vehicle. According to the driver, it was the ” best product ever made by Tesla, and one can only hope so given all the headaches the pickup has given the automaker. However, we know very little about the model presented here, except for a new confirmation of a few details that were just waiting to be confirmed, such as its giant windshield wiper. Although it could potentially be the chosen one that will be delivered to the first customers, Elon Musk is practicing an art he knows well and is content to tease us. So beware, because he has already announced good news about the Cybertruck in the past, wrongly.

Any clues that the manufacturer will keep its promises?

This time, however, we have the right to really believe it. This pickup of the future has been showcased at various events in the United States in recent weeks, and all indicators are green for it to leave the factory. Also, Tesla had promised us a big mass for its first deliveries in the third quarter, and if there is little time left, tickets to attend it are starting to surface. Indeed, members of the brand’s referral program can get one for 30,000 credits, which would equate to $2,500 in real money, according to Electrek. However, as of this writing, no date has yet been set for the event. We can only hope that the ticket price is a guarantee that it is indeed programmed.

We will probably have to wait a little longer before getting more information. We’re waiting to get a glimpse of the interior of the model Musk sat in, to see if it’s really capable of mass production, and most importantly, to get a timeline really confirmed by Tesla. A priori, while deliveries should be made in dribs and drabs from October, mass production should begin in 2024. And this would surely be the time for the manufacturer to respect its agenda, because the millions of people who pre-ordered the vehicle must be impatient since the last post of the South African billionaire.
