At the end of July 2023, the YouTube Premium subscription increased in the United States from $11.99 to $13.99 per month. Inevitably, we expected that Europe and France would also be affected in the following weeks. It did not fail… for YouTube Music Premium at first.
1 euro more per month
A member of the editorial staff has indeed received an email from YouTube, in which is announced a price increase of 1 euro per month, from September 23, 2023. Clearly, YouTube Music Premium will go from 9.99 euros to 10, 99 euros per month within a good month and a half.
The music streaming service justifies this increase for two reasons: “Continue to provide quality service and featureson one side, andimprove Premium to support the creators and artists you watch on YouTube“on the other, can we read.
YouTube Premium also affected
To keep a consistent price cap between YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Premium, we must necessarily expect a slight increase in the latter. Another member of the editorial staff subscribed to YouTube Premium, however, did not receive any official email.
On the other hand, just take a look at the main YouTube Premium web page to see that a public price change has already taken place: 12.99 euros is indicated, i.e. 1 euro more than the amount hitherto Invoice.
