A new trailer for “Bob Marley: One Love” has been released. The biopic event hits our theaters on February 14.
After playing Ken in Greta Gerwig’s hit film, Barbie, actor Kingsley Ben-Adir slips into the shoes of the King of Reggae, Bob Marley.
The new trailer for the film directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green (The Williams Method) reveals a little more about the history of this biopic event and about Bob Marley’s relationship with his children (the singer had 11 children ).
Bob Marley: One Love looks back at the private life and career of the singing icon who introduced reggae around the world during his almost 20-year career and inspired generations with his message of love and unity.
This is the first time that the life of the interpreter of Is This love is brought to the screen. And it’s Kingsley Ben-Adir, already seen in Barbie, The OA, Peaky Blinders and Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion, who plays the King of Reggae while Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel, No Time to Die, The Woman King) slips in in his wife’s shoes.
James Norton (Mick Jagger), Jesse Cilio (Norval Marley), Michael Gandolfini, Anthony Welsh and Nadine Marshall are also in the cast of this film punctuated by the singer’s hits.

Bob Marley therefore joins the list of singing icons whose lives have recently been adapted for cinema: Freddie Mercury with Bohemian Rhapsody, Elton John with Rocketman, Elvis and Whitney Houston with I Wanna Dance with Somebody.
Should soon follow Michael by Antoine Fuqua, dedicated to Michael Jackson, Back to Black on Amy Winehouse and Monsieur Aznavour with Tahar Rahim in the role of Charles Aznavour.
