It’s the day that’s the hardest: when you should be particularly careful when driving

According to statistics, most accidents involving personal injury occur on Fridays. In 2021 alone, there were 42,186 accidents nationwide on this weekday. Last year there were almost 800 more.

However, the other working days of the week are not far off the beaten track either:

  • Monday: 38,715
  • Tuesday: 40,941
  • Wednesday: 40.171
  • Thursday: 39,694

The statistically safest day to drive is Sunday. With around 25,000 collisions, there are significantly fewer – in line with the term “Sunday drivers”, people in Germany are apparently a little more relaxed on the road on this day or generally drive less cars. With around 31,960 accidents, Saturday is at least a little safer than the rest of the week.

If you want to protect yourself, then you should always remember: Drive defensively, with foresight and consideration. This is the only way to avoid and reduce serious accidents involving personal injury.
