New blockade attempt at Sciences Po this Tuesday by pro-Palestinian students, in the middle of exams. Several dozen demonstrators were present on rue Saint-Guillaume, and they were joined in the afternoon by François-Xavier Bellamy, head of the LR list in the European elections. He did not come to support them, but rather to confront the striking students.

Sequence improvised by the teams of candidate Les Républicains in rue Saint-Guillaume, in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. François-Xavier Bellamy faces hostility from Sciences Po students and initially confronts LFI deputy Louis Boyard.

“Once again, I am going to ask Mr. Bellamy one thing. Does he condemn what is happening in Gaza?” asks Louis Boyard. The head of the European list responds: “I obviously condemn this situation which has plunged the Palestinian population into hell and the first person responsible for this situation is Hamas.”

A sequence that boosts the morale of the LR troops

The Republican candidate for the European elections, a professor of philosophy by training, renowned for a certain form of reserve in his speeches, here provokes exchanges with the demonstrators facing the strikers. He denounces the exploitation of the situation in Gaza by France Insoumise.

“I came here to be the voice of all the students who do not want to see Sciences-Po reduced to these permanent blockages, reduced to this permanent exploitation, to this pharmacy of rebellious France that rue Saint- Guillaume. It’s unbearable,” explains François-Xavier Bellamy.

In a campaign that has not been very intense so far, the highly commented sequence on social networks boosts the morale of the troops at LR. Several parliamentarians even hope to see a turning point almost a month before the election.
