Ivana Trump, Donald Trump’s ex-wife, died unexpectedly on July 14. The cause of death is now known.

After the sudden death of Ivana Trump (1949-2022) on July 14, there was initial speculation about the cause of death. The office of the responsible coroner in New York has now announced that the ex-wife of former US President Donald Trump (76) died as a result of an accident.

US media, including the broadcaster NBC New York and the “People” magazine, unanimously report a fall down the stairs. The official report said the medical examiner determined her cause of death was an accident that resulted in “blunt impact injuries to her torso.” The office declined to comment on further investigations.

The Washington Post reported on Thursday (July 14) that an emergency call was received by the New York City Police Department around noon. According to this, an unconscious woman was lying on the threshold of a staircase on 64th Street near Central Park in Manhattan.

“An Incredible Woman”

Ivana Trump was married to Donald Trump from 1977 to 1992. Their marriage produced three children, Donald Trump Jr. (44), Ivanka Trump (40) and Eric Trump (38). The latter confirmed his mother’s death on July 14 in an Instagram post. “Our mother was an incredible woman – a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty and a caring mother and friend,” he wrote, among other things.
