On Ivana Trump’s 75th birthday, her daughter Ivanka remembered her mother, who died in 2022. She dedicates moving words to her.
Ivana Trump (1949-2022) would have turned 75 on February 20th. Daughter Ivanka (42) remembers her birthday on Instagram with a throwback picture to her late mother. “I imagine you sailing through the sky, guided by the stars…” writes the daughter of former US President Donald Trump (77) on the old photo of Ivana Trump in a captain’s costume at the helm of a ship shows. “Today would be your 75th birthday.”
“We raise our sails in your honor, Mom, navigating life with the compass of your love and your fearless spirit,” Ivanka Trump continued. “We miss and love you.”
Ivana Trump: business woman, skier, mother
In her Instagram story The 42-year-old shared more photos showing her with her mother as well as several pictures from Ivana Trump’s modeling career. Her mother was a “pioneering business woman,” she writes about a black-and-white picture that shows Ivana Trump at a desk at a young age. In another photo, the Czech native is shown on the slopes in a ski suit. Ivana Trump was also a “world-class skier for the Czech national team,” but above all “a wonderful mom,” her daughter notes. She also posted a photo in which her brothers Donald Jr. (46) and Eric (40) can be seen as children.
Ivana Trump, who was born in the Czech Republic, competed in skiing for the Czech junior national team in her youth and later studied sports science in Prague. She then emigrated to Canada with her first husband, an Austrian, and worked as a model after the divorce. On a trip to New York in 1976, she met the entrepreneur Donald Trump, and she was married to him from 1977 to 1990. Two more marriages followed – with the Italian businessman Riccardo Mazzucchelli (1943-2017) and the actor Rossano Rubicondi (1972-2021). On July 14, 2022, Trump died at the age of 73 in her apartment in New York City as a result of falling down the stairs.
