J.J. Abrams: He is working on the "Shining" and "Justice League" series

Even if in Corona times there is still no thought of filming or the like, "Star Wars" director J.J. Abrams (53) is said to be currently working on three elaborate series for the new streaming service HBO Max. As reported by the US industry website "The Hollywood Reporter", Abrams and his production company Bad Robot are said to have one "The Shining" and one Responsible for "Justice League" series.

It is therefore a spin-off of the world-famous Stephen King film and is to be called "Overlook" – so named after the hotel where Jack Nicholson (82) once ran amok in 1980. The series was initially designed for ten episodes, according to the report, characters from "The Shining" should appear in it.

The "Justice League" is getting dark

Not much is known about the superhero series yet. However, it is said to be the "Justice League Dark" universe from which anti-heroes of the John Constantine brand come, among other things. The personified in the movie "Constantine" from 2005 none other than Keanu Reeves (55).

The idea for the third series comes directly from Abrams, where he works as a screenwriter together with LaToya Morgan. It goes by the name "Duster", played in the 1970s and is about an escape driver from a growing criminal organization.

"What could be better than an original J.J. idea that Warner Bros. releases on iconic brands like Stephen King and the DC universe?" Says Kevin Reilly, who is responsible for the content of HBO Max, about the far-reaching collaboration. At this early stage of the planning, nothing is known about the planned release dates. HBO Max will be launched next month.
