Jack Nicholson is said to have had health problems and completely closed himself off. His friends now fear the actor could die lonely like his pal Marlon Brando once did.

Jack Nicholson, 85, has not been seen in public for over a year. As “Radar Online” reports, the Hollywood star should isolate himself in his villa. Now his friends are afraid that the actor could die lonely and alone – like his colleague Marlon Brando, † 80.

Jack Nicholson has isolated himself

According to the celebrity portal, the Oscar winner is said to have completely retired to his luxurious estate on Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles, California. “He made it clear that his home is his castle,” a source revealed. “But people just want him to come out of the house and say how he’s doing – or at least reassure them that he’s fine.” The ‘Shining’ actor was last seen on October 19, 2021 attending a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game with his son Ray Nicholson, 30.

“It’s just sad”

“Jack has been in touch with certain relatives, particularly his protégé Ray, who he’s so proud of,” the source continued. “But his sociable days are long gone.” His friends would therefore compare his situation to that of “godfather” Marlon Brando, who died in 2004: “Brando practically died as a hermit after leading such a colorful life,” the insider continued. “Jack’s friends are now making comparisons. His children visit him, but they are his only connection to the outside world. It’s like he doesn’t want to face reality anymore – and that’s just sad.”

Suffering from dementia?

According to “Radar Online”, close friends also fear the actor’s major health problems. They were afraid Nicholson might have dementia. Years ago there had been rumors that he might have Alzheimer’s disease. “Jack and I have been friends for years and he doesn’t leave his house anymore… I think his son and daughter are taking care of him now,” a friend of the three-time Oscar winner told Radar Online in September 2021.
