Jack Reacher: back in series, he breaks his arms on Prime Video!

After the two films with Tom Cruise, Jack Reacher – born under the pen of Lee Child – is entitled to a new adaptation but in a TV series this time. In a version closer to the novels.

What is it about ?

Former US Army Jack Reacher retired from the military police. He travels the country to carry out perilous investigations and survives thanks to small jobs…

Reacher, a series created by Nick Santora with Alan Ritchson, Malcolm Goodwin, Willa Fitzgerald… On Prime Video

Muscular, very muscular

Played by Alan Ritchson, Reacher is an imposing hero from the outset, due to his stature. He approaches two meters and seems capable of flattening an army with his bare hands. The feeling will be confirmed very quickly. And as he imposes, he is not very talkative. You have to easily wait about ten minutes in the first episode to hear the sound of his voice.

A former army major, Reacher – he insists on being called just by his name – now leads the life of an outcast. He crosses the United States like a vagrant, without a car, without a telephone, without belongings. He only has the bare minimum on him.

Arrived at Margrave in Georgia, he is immediately arrested by the local police accused of the murder which has just occurred in the small quiet town which knows almost no crime. And everything points to a conspiracy.

Sent to prison on remand, but with the general population, Reacher will quickly use his muscles to smash his enemies and his Sherlock Holmes-like wit to solve the mystery that wants to make him a scapegoat.

With his extraordinary physique, Alan Ritchson corresponds perfectly to the description made by the author of the novels Lee Child. It has military rigor – which could be described as rigidity – and efficiency. He is also someone who is lonely, cold and haunted by his past.

Margrave’s case will quickly take a much more personal turn. Always as rigorous, but filled with a cold anger, Reacher will then deploy his energy to discover the whole truth and to obtain revenge.

The fight scenes are brutal and effective. Reacher literally breaks arms. The violence is just as graphic at crime scenes. In summary, a series full of testosterone that does not lace.
