  • Jackery presents the LightCycle S1 solar generator.
  • The unusually designed power bank can be pulled behind you and generate electricity.
  • In addition, the shape of the generator makes it particularly flexible and robust.

Solar generators are currently very popular with many people. Models from Bluetti, EcoFlow or even Jackery promise a certain degree of independence from the power grid. They bridge power failures or even operate mobile dishwashers during camping holidays. We have already extensively tested a solar generator from Jackery for you.

Meanwhile, the US manufacturer continues to work on the optimal shape of the generators. The fact is: the mighty power packs are usually heavy and bulky. They can only be heaved into a camper or car with difficulty. The Jackery LightCycle S1 model takes this into account.

The manufacturer presented the new generator at a product show without going into detail about a price or availability. So it’s still a prototype. But the concept obviously offers advantages.

Thanks to the round shape, you can simply pull it behind you. The best thing about it is that every revolution of the rubberized surface generates electricity via a built-in generator. This is not only practical when walking. The manufacturer even has plans to hang the generator on a car so that the internal battery can be charged while driving.

The special design protects the built-in electronics from impact and moisture. You can’t buy the Jackery LightCycle S1 at the moment – it’s still a concept. However, the manufacturer has a powerful power bank on offer with the solar generator 2000 Pro. The Solar Generator 1000 Pro variant is a little more compact and cheaper, and you can even combine it with bifacial solar modules.
