Jaguar Land Rover and BNP Paribas launch a range of new financing services – 01/20/2023 at 15:25


(AOF) – Jaguar Land Rover and BNP Paribas have launched a range of new mobility finance services in nine European markets. This collaboration is the first phase of a transformation plan to redefine the role of financial services for customers of the Range Rover, Defender, Discovery and Jaguar brands.

Jaguar Land Rover dealerships and customers now have access to a full range of competitive financing solutions such as traditional loans, Lease with Option to Purchase (LOA), Long Term Lease (LLD), products and insurance services, split payment solutions and inventory financing.

The French bank relies on all of its activities related to mobility products and services with the support of its Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) division. BNP Paribas Personal Finance provides inventory financing and loans to individuals, Arval provides rental and fleet management services, Floa provides split payment services, and BNP Paribas Cardif offers insurance products and services.

The negative effects of rising interest rates

The rise in interest rates normally causes an increase in bank income through the loans granted. In Europe, according to a survey conducted by S&P among 85 banking establishments, the sector expects an average increase of 18% in its net interest income. However, this new inflationary context also has undesirable effects, in particular an increase in refinancing costs. It is also accompanied by the fear of a new recession, which would then affect all the bank’s businesses, ranging from loans to asset management, whose income is correlated to market valuations.
