James Hetfield has been married to his wife Francesca for almost 25 years. Now the Metallica frontman is reportedly getting divorced.
Metallica frontman James Hetfield (59) is said to be divorcing his wife Francesca (52) after almost 25 years of marriage. Unspecified sources have said so the US celebrity portal “TMZ” reveal. Accordingly, the musician is said to have filed for divorce in the US state of Colorado at the beginning of the year. The two are said to be staying in touch because of their children together.
Married since 1997
Hetfield married his wife Francesca in August 1997, the couple having met five years earlier. In an interview with the NPR radio show “Fresh Air” the musician explained in 2005 that Francesca helped him mature and deal with problems, including his anger management.
The Argentine native and the Metallica frontman have three children, daughters Marcella (20) and Cali (24) and son Castor (22).
