HASWith the first scientific paper based on a spectrum from data from the new James-Webb Telescope, published this week in the journal Nature, research on exoplanets has just entered a new era! That of the characterization of these worlds orbiting around stars other than our Sun which, since the very first detection of one of them in 1995, constituted above all a long list of objects to be studied later.
This first spectrum is that of a planet very different from those of our stellar system: a hot gas giant (moving very close to its star) with a mass close to that of Saturn but whose diameter is twice as large!
