The star dies a serial death in "Neues aus Büttenwarder"

Jan Fedder died exactly a year ago. On the day of his death, the NDR series "Neues aus Büttenwarder" finally said goodbye to him.
On December 30, 2019, folk actor Jan Fedder (1955-2019) succumbed to cancer after a long battle. Exactly one year later, the NDR is paying tribute to the Hamburger with a special episode of the series "News from Büttenwarder". In it, the television star dies serial death in his role as the farmer Kurt Brakelmann.
Brakelmann finds "Adsche" lifeless in the farmhouse parlor
In "Death is a stubborn ass", the house blessing once again hangs crookedly on the Brakelmann estate. After Kurt's (Jan Fedder) friend Arthur "Adsche" Tönnsen (Peter Heinrich Brix) left the farm pissed off, he found the farmer lying lifeless in the room after his return. A little later, the shocked "Adsche" identified a figure on the side of the road as a burglar and murderer who, however, turned out to be death in person. From then on he tries to reverse his friend's death and promptly declares his death to be a "misunderstanding".
Without success. At the later funeral, the mayor of the village reads Brakelmann's will, which simply says: "You can all love me." – "That's typical Kurt Brakelmann again, isn't it?" Comments one of his friends. What follows are inevitable discussions about the funeral feast and loving characterizations of the rough farmer, which also seem to fit Jan Fedder. "He was just a guy with rough edges," says Mayor Günther Griem (Jürgen Uter).
The opening credits of the special episode of "Neues aus Büttenwarder" make it clear that it is a kind of obituary for Jan Fedder. In contrast to the three other episodes already shown after his death, the NDR focuses on the actor again and shows him in close-up. The ARD had already said goodbye to Fedder in May as part of the series "Großstadtrevier". In the episode "Absolute Beginners", his colleagues mourned the character of Chief Police Officer Dirk Matthies.
NDR pays tribute to Jan Fedder for a whole evening
On the first anniversary of Jan Fedder's death, the NDR will remember the popular actor for a whole evening. The documentary "Jan Fedder – What remains?" Starts at 8:15 pm. After "Neues aus Büttenwarder" subsequently bids farewell to the star at 9 pm with "Death is a stubborn ass", the station shows another episode entitled "Miracle". The documentary film "Jan Fedder – with corners, edges and a lot of heart" concludes at 10:10 pm.
Jan Fedder died on December 30, 2019 at the age of 64 in his Hamburg apartment. The memorial service personally planned by Fedder during his lifetime took place on January 14, 2020, his 65th birthday, in Hamburg's Michel, with great sympathy from the population. Then there was a mourning convoy through St. Pauli's streets. Two days later, the Hamburg artist was buried in close family and friends in the Ohlsdorf cemetery.
