Unknown people damaged the grave of the late actor Jan Fedders in the Ohlsdorf cemetery in Hamburg.
The popular Hamburg actor Jan Fedder (1955-2019) died at the end of December 2019 at the age of 64. The actor, who for years stood in front of the camera as a police officer Dirk Matthies from the "Großstadtrevier", found his final resting place at the Ohlsdorf cemetery in Hamburg. However, one can hardly speak of peaceful calm. Now strangers have damaged the archway and the locked gate that lead to the grave. That was what the "Hamburger Abendblatt" reported first.
After the incident, the tomb was tagged with tape and a "no entry" sign. Shortly after the burial in January, the monument from 1899 was visited by countless fans who had badly affected the area around the grave. Fedder's widow Marion (54) reacted and initially had the grave site protected with a chain. It was later fenced in and the now damaged archway was erected.
The tombstone was not finished until April. The stone is adorned with a marble slab on which, in addition to the name of the "Großstadtrevier" commissioner and his date of birth and death, there is also a romantic inscription in gold: "Love is immortal".
