Moderator Jan Hahn died suddenly at the age of 47. His colleagues are upset and mourn on social media.
Moderator Jan Hahn died at the age of 47 after a short, serious illness. Friends and colleagues are dismayed by the sad news and say goodbye to the popular “Guten Morgen Deutschland” presenter with touching words.
Stephan Schmitter, Managing Director of RTL NEWS, said in a message: “We are all shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden death of Jan. The RTL family is losing a very special person and dear colleague who has given us all many wonderful television moments. All our thoughts and our deepest sympathy go to his family and him Relatives. Jan, we will never forget you! ”

Hahn’s long-time Sat.1 colleague Matthias Killing (41) said compared to the “Bild” newspaper: “Especially in the early years of ‘Breakfast TV’, Jan was a close friend who made my start in Berlin very easy. I have never forgotten that and I will never forget him. My thoughts are with his family, above all with his wife and children. ”
Hahn’s “Good Morning Germany” colleague Maurice Gajda (37) shared the death message on Instagram and wrote: “I’m sad, hit and shocked. And I would like to express my deepest condolences to Jan Hahn’s family. Our entire RTL and Guten Morgen Deutschland team mourn a great colleague.”
“Infinitely sad”
Actor Jochen Schropp (42) commented on the Instagram post by Sat.1 “Breakfast TV” with a black heart emoji and wrote to a black and white picture of the two in an Instagram story: “Have a good trip, dear Jan.” Under the post, other colleagues such as presenter Ralph Morgenstern (64), actress Nova Meierhenrich (47), actress Jenny Elvers (48) and athlete Marie Lang (34) expressed their condolences.
VIP reporter Vanessa Blumhagen (43) wrote to one Picture of Jan Hahn and her on Instagram: “And then all of a sudden a friend goes very quiet … Jan, I will miss you madly. I am so very sad.”
