Emotional lines on the first anniversary of the moderator’s death
The “Sat.1-Frühstücksfernsehen” reminds of the late presenter Jan Hahn with touching posts: “We like to think back to you.”
Sat.1 commemorates the deceased Jan Hahn (1973-2021). Exactly one year ago, on May 4th, 2021, the longtime “Sat.1 breakfast television” presenter died of cancer. The account shared on Instagram the morning show a post in memory of Hahn. “Our friend Jan Hahn left us a year ago. We like to think back to you and will never forget you, dear Jan,” says the post. A black and white photo of the moderator can also be seen.
Additionally the broadcaster released a video with snapshots of the presenter: “Jan Hahn has enriched the Sat.1 breakfast television for eleven years as a presenter, colleague and friend. Even now – a year after he left us – we like to think back to all our moments together.” His former colleagues like Alina Merkau (36) or Annika Lau (43) left a black heart emoji or a crying smiley under the post.
Vanessa Blumhagen “still can’t believe it”
His former teammate Vanessa Blumhagen (44) shared on her Instagram account a touching memory of Hahn. The society expert wrote of a selfie with Hahn: “One year. I still can’t believe it Jan. I can see your face in front of me, I can hear you laughing. Missing you. More every day.”
From 2005 to 2016, Jan Hahn was on “Sat.1-Frühstücksfernsehen”. From 2017 he moderated “Guten Morgen Deutschland” on RTL. Hahn was a father of three. His youngest daughter was born in 2019.
