Jan Malte Andresen will be the new presenter of the RTL morning show “Point 6/7/8” from January 8, 2024.
Jan Malte Andresen (51) is moving to RTL. From January 8th he will be the new presenter of the RTL early magazines “Point 6”, “Point 7” and “Point 8”. The Cologne broadcaster announced this on Monday.
RTL is looking forward to the new presenter
“We are very pleased that in Jan Malte Andresen we have an equally experienced, versatile and extremely likeable moderator RTL early magazines will strengthen,” explains Daniel Mundhenke, editor-in-chief of magazines at RTL News.
Andresen is also very happy about his new challenge: “I’m really looking forward to starting the day with the RTL viewers.” For him, “Point 6/7/8” combines “the best of radio – providing compact information, being entertaining and useful – just with pictures! It’s great that people can now look into my tired eyes.”
Moderator already has a lot of journalistic experience
Andresen has been the presenter of the morning show on radio station WDR 2 since 2017. From 2016 to 2021 he was also seen on “tagesschau24” and in the morning edition of “ARD Tagesschau”. He is also the host of various podcasts, such as the FAZ’s news podcast ” Frühdenker ” or the Misereor podcast “With People”.
