Sea wedding is not possible

TV star Jana Azizi and Johann Ackermann celebrate their love in Croatia – with a wet surprise. GALA reports exclusively on the romantic wedding.
This is exactly how they imagined their dream wedding: bright sunshine, warm summer nights and a weekend with family and all their friends: RTL presenter Jana Azizi, 34, and her partner, ex-triathlete Johann Ackermann, 39, got married – and celebrated properly in Croatia. On Friday evening, the bride and groom got their guests in Split in the mood with a “White Party”: “My brother-in-law is Croatian and he owns this beautiful restaurant, that was the perfect start,” said the bride. All guests came in white, hundreds of lanterns illuminated the cozy inner courtyard.
Jana Azizi said “yes”: “Our dream was always that we would get married by the sea”
Pure romance: In December 2022, Johann asked for her hand in marriage in Paris, in front of the famous “Wall Of Love” in Montmartre. “Suddenly he got on his knees in front of me, that was a wonderful moment,” remembers Jana, who is now officially called “Frau Ackermann” but will continue to use her old name professionally.

For the actual wedding ceremony, everyone traveled to Trogir, 30 minutes away on the coast, on Saturday: “Our dream was always that we would get married by the sea. Johann and I both really enjoy traveling and water is an element in which we simply feel comfortable. “

That’s exactly where the newlywed couple ended up later in the evening: after the wedding dance, which the “Let’s Dance” professionals Renata and Valentin Lusin had specially rehearsed with them, they jumped into the pool without further ado. “And the whole wedding party afterwards,” Jana told GALA with a laugh. “The fact that we are all here in the same place, celebrating together and hugging each other is the greatest gift for us!”
