Jane Birkin had found her haven of peace. Like many public figures, the famous British-French actress, who would have celebrated her 77th birthday this Thursday, December 14, had found a place to recharge her batteries. If Florent Pagny fell under the spell of Patagonia and Pascal Obispo of Cap-Ferret, Lou Doillon’s mother liked to take time for herself in his house located on the banks of the Aber-Benoît, in the north of Finistère in Brittany. A place she fell in love with more than thirty years ago. “As soon as I saw this house overlooking the beach where my father came, I knew. It seemed so beautiful to me”she confided to France 3, in April 2021. “It is from here that, during the war, my father did around thirty missions around Aber-Benoît by taking people on board, to keep them away from these coasts which were covered with Germans”she added.
Later, when Jane Birkin saw that the property was for sale, she did not hesitate long to position herself. “I learn that a house overlooking a beach in Abers is for sale. This house overlooks a beach from where my father helped evacuate English, American and Canadian airmen to England.”she told our colleagues, before concluding: “Here I have all my memoriesand memories are a wonderful thing and a heavy thing at the same time.”

Jane Birkin: Lou Doillon revealed photos of the mansion
This particularly symbolic place therefore became the refuge of Jane Birkin. She organized solo stays there or even meals with her loved ones, including Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon. Moreover, the latter has often published photos of the mansion on her Instagram account. We find in particular the superb residence with a flowery facade and a verandadecorated with wooden furniture, and a large garden overlooking the river.
