She is recognized at Golden Globes for her life's work
Actor Jane Fonda will be honored with a lifetime achievement award at the 2021 Golden Globes. She receives the Cecil B. DeMille Award.
The multiple Oscar winner and Golden Globe winner Jane Fonda (83, "Grace and Frankie") will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award at this year's Golden Globes, according to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). The prize is awarded for the life's work of a filmmaker. The Golden Globes will be awarded on February 28, 2021.
There is no better candidate
The reasoning stated, among other things, that Fonda, who has been in the film business since the early 1960s, is a world star and one cannot imagine an actress who has more deserved the Cecil B. DeMille Award. She will be an artist, philanthropist, role model and Hollywood star "forever".
Fonda, known from films such as "Barbarella" and "Klute", has been nominated for 15 Golden Globes in her long career and was able to take home seven of them – including in 1979 for "Coming Home" and 1972 for the already mentioned thriller "Klute". She was also awarded an Oscar for these two films.
