After “Um Himmels Willen”, Janina Hartwig finds time for things that have been postponed: learning English and going on board the “dream ship”.

With the final episode of the ARD series “Um Himmels Willen” in the summer of 2021, an era of almost 20 years ended. Actress Janina Hartwig (60) played 15 of them, who played the nun Johanna “Hanna” Jakobi from season six until the end. Hartwig has big plans for the time after that. In her private life she is “drawn abroad for a longer period of time”, reveals the “Bild am Sonntag”. “My son is doing his Abitur now and will finish school this year. Maybe it will work out then.”

For this “big project” she had already started to prepare in lockdown. Because she had never really learned English “as a GDR child”, she used the necessary break to “spend at least an hour every day with a language program”.

First of all it’s on the “dream ship”

During the filming of the upcoming Rosemunde Pilcher film “Four balloons and a death”, which will be broadcast on January 2nd (8:15 pm, ZDF), she was able to check her progress immediately – thanks to English drivers: “If I do sat in the car for half an hour to drive to the location, I tried to practice my English. ” It was both fun and a “great sense of achievement” for her.

Before he goes to English-speaking countries, Hartwig has another trip ahead of him: “In January, I’ll be going on the ‘dream ship’,” reveals the actress. During the production of “Um Himmels Willen” this was never possible due to lack of time.
