Janni Hönscheid and Peer Kusmagk: No daycare for the children

"Kita-free and always with you!"

"Kita-free and always with you!" – With this slogan, Janni starts her latest Instagram post. The 29-year-old explains that she does not want to send her son Emil-Ocean (2) and daughter Yoko (8 months) to kindergarten for the time being. Why does Janni reveal in her post on Instagram – and this is very well received.

I remember when I was pregnant and it was suggested that I would have to look after a daycare place … maybe it was because I grew up on a desert island and spent most of my early childhood on the beach with my family that it felt strange to me to put this little miracle in the care of a foreign institution.

# KITᗩᖴᖇEI ᑌᑎᗪ IᗰᗰEᖇ ᗪᗩᗷEI ? I still remember when I was pregnant and it was suggested to me that I would have to take care of a daycare place … maybe it was because I grew up on a desert island and spent most of my early childhood on the beach with mine Family, that it felt strange to me to put this little miracle in the care of a foreign institution. I was able to work from home – I'm not used to it as a self-employed person – and we both work a lot so that we can take parental leave. There was a time when somehow everything got too much for us, and we looked at several daycare centers, and maybe it was a bit of a relief for me to know that this was possible, but in the end we never took this step … And yes it has advantages and disadvantages. We have no stress in the morning and Emil-Ocean can play, he gets everything we do, is everywhere, spends time with people of all different age groups, male, female, and always tends to get along best with older children (because he can learn the most from you, more than his peers). The disadvantages are that it is of course more difficult to do this every day for the children, currently no time for me, and no real relief to do things. You get used to somehow integrating them into the household. And somehow you throw the village together, make your own program for the week. Of course there are days when I think: "How should I do it?" … but when I see how close the brothers and sisters are, when Emil-Ocean surprises me again with a super smart answer because he already knows so much about understands everyday life and thinks like that, or if he just plays deeply in his pajamas with his cars and can let his creativity run free, I am very happy and proud to go this way. I can't say yet whether we will eventually decide on a kindergarten ??‍♀️ How do you do that? Are you satisfied with your solution?

Janni is "proud to go this way"

The good thing: As a motivational coach, Janni can work from home while taking care of the little ones. She and Peer would work a lot anyway to take parental leave, according to Janni's contribution. But she honestly: It was not as if she and Peer had never thought about a place for their children in a kindergarten. So the 29-year-old reveals under the picture:

There was a time when somehow everything got too much for us and we looked at several daycare centers, and maybe it was a bit of a relief for me to know that there was a possibility, but in the end we never took this step

In addition, Janni admits that both have advantages and disadvantages, but in the end, one knowledge predominates for them. "When I see how close the brothers and sisters are, when Emil-Ocean surprises me again with a super smart answer because he already understands and thinks so much about everyday life, or when he just deepens in his pajamas in the morning plays his cars and can let his creativity run free, I am very happy and proud to go this way, "says Janni.

The opinions differ

As the posting shows, the opinions of their followers differ widely. "A child belongs in a daycare center solely because of social contacts," says one user. Nevertheless, Janni is very well received. "Great attitude and a lot of respect for what you do there every day" writes a user. Well: Whether Kita or not, everyone can decide for themselves in the end.
