Actually, Peer Kusmagk, 46, and his wife Janni Kusmagk, 31, are currently full of plans and anticipation for their future in Mallorca. The family previously lived in Berlin, but traveled a lot around the world and has now decided to settle down on the Balearic island with their three children, Emil-Ocean, 4, Yoko, 2, and the six-week-old Merlin. But the move to Mallorca is not made easy for the Kusmagks, the main reason is the concern for Baby Merlin.

Little Merlin did not have an easy start in life. Jannis and Peer’s son had to spend two weeks in the intensive care unit. “A newborn infection, severe blood loss in the puerperium, other complications,” said Janni, describing the worrying situation. And worries about Merlin don’t stop there. While Peer traveled to Mallorca with the two older children to look at houses, Janni and Merlin had to stay in Germany. “Merlin and I can’t come with you because Merlin probably has the RSV virus,” the surfer informs her fans.
The respiratory syncytial virus (RS virus or RSV for short) is a common causative agent of diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract, which occurs most frequently in infants and young children up to the age of two years. While older children and adults usually only show mild, cold-like symptoms, the infection can be particularly severe in infants. So the concern of the Kusmagks is justified.
“I’m so sad that I can’t keep up and at the same time, of course, worried about Merlin, but he’s doing quite well this morning,” Janni said, a little relieved at first.
Travel stress for Peer Kusmagk and the children
But suddenly there are also problems for peers and the kids on their trip. “Peer and the children got away very late because there was an incorrect fire report at the airport in Berlin. It started after hours, but now the airport in Mallorca has been closed because people were escaping from a plane that had to make an emergency landing in Mallorca just ran out of the plane.
