Invited on the set of En Aparté, this Thursday, March 01, Jarry was overwhelmed by a video. Indeed, his mother mentioned the day when he announced his homosexuality to her.
Jarry is a humorist much appreciated by the French. Actor but also animator, he has become a staple on television. But the role he is most proud of is that of being a father. Indeed, in 2016, he welcomed twins, born by GPA. But before becoming this fulfilled man, Jarry had to go through more complicated times, particularly related to his homosexuality. But if there is one who has always supported him, it is his mother, Jocelyne. Guest on the set ofAs an aside this Thursday, March 10, 2022, the comedian was surprised to see a video that his mother had shot.
Jocelyne recounts the day Jarry told her of his homosexuality: “He came to see me one day. He said to me ‘Mom, you sit down’. I sit down and then he says to me ‘Mom I have something to tell you: mum, I would not be like my brothers, I wouldn’t have children, I don’t like women, I’m gay'”she recalled, before continuing: “But what do you want me to say? ‘It doesn’t matter.’ I said ‘No, you’re my guy, I won’t kick you out’. It’s his life, it’s his body. Those who are not happy, we leave them”. Touching secrets for this mother, so proud of her son.
Jarry: “I’m incredibly lucky”
Hearing these words, Jarry was upset. Tears in my eyes, I have a few seconds to react : “My mother, she left school very early, she always lived with the times. And it’s true that I was very scared when I told her that I was going to be gay, because all the examples I around me, the parents put their children on the street, at the door. I said to myself: ‘She doesn’t know any, we live in a very small village’ How will she react because that she may not have studied for a long time my mum, she may not know a lot of things but she loves people deeply, she accepts them as they are and I think that’s worth everything gold in the world. And I’m incredibly lucky.” A wonderful declaration of love.
