After the European Championship, three English national players were racially insulted. Jason Sudeikis now showed his support for the players.

After the European Championship final against Italy, the three English internationals Marcus Rashford (23), Jadon Sancho (21) and Bukayo Saka (19) were increasingly blamed for their team’s defeat on social media: All three missed their penalties. After the victory for Italy, they met hatred from their own fans and they were racially insulted. US actor Jason Sudeikis (45) has now shown his support for the football players with his outfit.

At the premiere of the second season of the comedy series “Ted Lasso” in Los Angeles on Thursday evening, he wore a black shirt on which the first names of the three footballers were written in white. The 45-year-old also combined blue trousers and white and black sneakers.

What is “Ted Lasso” about?

In “Ted Lasso” Sudeikis plays a US football coach who is supposed to coach a Premier League team, although he has no idea about football. The second season will start on July 23, 2021 on the Apple TV + streaming service, and a third season has already been confirmed. For his acting performance as Ted Lasso, Sudeikis won a Golden Globe earlier this year and was also named best male actor in a comedy series at the Critics’ Choice Awards.

On this occasion, he gave a speech of thanks to his ex-fiancée Olivia Wilde (37) in March. You had “the original idea” for “Ted Lasso”. Sudeikis thought the series wouldn’t work, but: “She was right.” The two surprisingly separated in November 2020 and have children Otis (born in 2014) and Daisy (born in 2016).
