Jay-Z and Pharrell Williams: Joint single of the mega-stars against discrimination

Jay-Z and Pharrell Williams talk in "Entrepreneur" about systematic disadvantages blacks have to struggle with.

Jay-Z (50) and Pharrell Williams (47) are back together. As part of the special project "The New American Revolution" of "Time" magazine, the two US rappers publish the joint track "Entrepreneur", which was released on Friday (August 21). It is about the social inequalities that young, ambitious blacks have to fight against.

"It's about showing how difficult it is to be an entrepreneur in our country," explains Williams in "Time" magazine. People of Color would have to struggle with systematic disadvantages and deliberately erected blockades. The musician names the areas of health care, education and representation as examples.

In "The New American Revolution", among others, the civil rights activist and philosopher Angela Davis (76), rapper Tyler, the Creator (29) and tennis player Naomi Osaka (22) have their say and report on unequal treatment with black people in the USA and how to get rid of them in the future. Pharrell Williams supervised the project together with the creators.
