Will rapper Jay-Z soon set up his own production company? An application for the registration of a trademark called “2 / J” suggests this.

Jay-Z (51) could soon have his own production company. According to “TMZ” the company of the rich rap mogul and husband of Beyoncé Knowles (39) applied for a trademark registration on May 3rd.

The Promiportal therefore has documents from which it emerges that S. Carter Enterprises wants to secure the brand name “2 / J” for the “creation, development and production” of entertainment content. It should go in detail, for example, to television programs, TV series and films.

Jay-Z sells cognac and premium cannabis

It is still unclear whether the 51-year-old music superstar actually wants to start his own production company. It would still fit in with his portfolio as a businessman. Jay-Z is already successfully selling its own cognac and the premium cannabis Monogram. He is also a shareholder in the paid music streaming service Tidal and owns his own entertainment company called Roc Nation.
