When it comes to trousers, one thing has been clear for a long time: skinny models are being discarded and wide-legged models are moving into our closets. This trend wave has now also reached leggings, which is why they are a bit different in autumn.

We have learned to love leggings since the lockdown at the latest and since then have regularly integrated them into our everyday looks. Why? Quite simply: the tight trousers are comfortable, shape our curves beautifully and can be combined in many ways. However, even the best fashion trend can get boring if you don’t change it up from time to time. We’ll show you why jazz pants of all things are the coziest and perhaps coolest trend in autumn.

Jazz pants: Not only fashionistas love leggings with flared legs

Hardly any trouser trend has been able to persist as persistently as skinny jeans. With the continued hype of the 2000s, wide trousers are becoming more and more popular. Instead of staging the trained curves in the best possible light, in 2022 your own body will increasingly take a back seat, and color and shape combinations are becoming increasingly important.

So it was only a matter of time before the new fashion trend made itself felt in lounging wear. In addition to casually fitting track pants, it girls such as Hailey Bieber, Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner have recently started to prefer leggings with flared legs, also known as flared leggings or jazz pants. And there is a very simple reason for this: the sporty flared trousers not only have a shaping effect on the thighs, they also visually stretch the leg.

Jazz pants can be worn in so many different ways

Although top models are of course not lacking in size, they like to play with the illusion of infinitely long legs – which is why XL leg slits and platform heels are very popular right now. In addition to the extra centimeters they cheat, jazz pants have an even more important advantage: their versatility. In contrast to tight-fitting leggings, these look less sporty and can therefore be styled well with blazers, high heels or wide boyfriend shirts. We find the combination by Kendall Jenner particularly cool, combining anthracite-colored jazz pants with a double waistband with a tailored XL coat and heels with fur detail.
