JCDecaux: IGPDecaux wins contracts over 13 years in Rome

(CercleFinance.com) – JCDecaux announces that its company IGPDecaux – 60% owned by JCDecaux SE and 40% by the du Chène de Vère family – has won the contracts for the metro, buses and trams in Rome (2.8 millions of inhabitants).

This 13-year contract provides for the modernization and complete renovation of metro line A stations as well as the establishment of a
new generation of advertising spaces.

IGPDecaux will also continue to manage advertising on Rome’s buses and trams. Rome’s metro, buses and trams transport near
2.6 million travelers per day for a total of 940 million each year.

This contract is based on a hybrid model where investments will be financed by a public subsidy and by advertising.

IGPDecaux will supervise the design and rehabilitation of 4 stations on line A (Spagna, Ottaviano and Cipro this year then San Giovanni by 2026). For the other 23 stations on line A, IGPDecaux will carry out technical and financial feasibility studies, while ATAC will be directly responsible for the work.
