JCDecaux wins transport contract in Rome

(AOF) – JCDecaux announced that IGPDecaux had won the metro, bus and tram contracts in Rome (2.8 million inhabitants). This 13-year contract provides for the modernization and complete renovation of the metro line A stations as well as the establishment of a new generation of advertising spaces (lines A, B-B1, and C, the latter not having until now no advertising).

IGPDecaux will supervise the design and rehabilitation of 4 stations on line A (Spagna, Ottaviano and Cipro this year then San Giovanni by 2026). For the other 23 stations on line A, IGPDecaux will carry out technical and financial feasibility studies, while ATAC, the city’s public transport company, will be directly responsible for the work.

This new development includes a strong digitalization of advertising furniture with more than 60 digital screens on the platforms, more than 166 iVision digital screens allowing greater coverage of the stations, and the installation of LED walls of different sizes creating immersive environments at the level from the mezzanine/lobby of the Spagna and Cipro stations. More than 300 analog spaces in different formats complete the metro’s offering.

IGPDecaux is a company 60% owned by JCDecaux SE and 40% by the du Chène de Vère family.
