The Belgian actor is accused by a 33-year-old woman of having made “sexual requests” to him during a party. An instruction has been opened.

Jean-Claude Van Damme is at the heart of a sexual assault case that allegedly took place during a party in Brussels. The victim filed a complaint with the Belgian justice reports the media South Info this Friday, April 22.

The Belgian media quotes the spokesperson for the Brussels public prosecutor’s office who confirmed “that there is an ongoing file against Mr. VD for acts of indecent assault”.

The actor did not react to this case, it was his agent who came to his defense. Patrick Goavec, who manages the career of Jean-Claude Van Damme felt that there was no case in hand. “You know, there are plenty of victims who file complaints against artists. We also receive dozens of phone calls a day to reach Jean-Claude”, estimated the agent.

For now, only one complaint has been filed and a file has been opened on this case of sexual assault. The instruction is based for the moment on the testimony of the victim who remembers the inappropriate behavior of the Belgian actor.

The Belgian actor would have “touched the buttocks” of the victim

The Belgian media published the testimony of the victim. “That evening, initially, he was hitting on me a bit, there was nothing mean or inappropriate. But, afterwards, I think he took a few lines, because everyone knows that Jean-Claude Van Damme takes drugs to death, and, suddenly, he became another person…” said the young woman. Subsequently the actor would have him “touched the buttocks” and tried to undress her. The young woman says to herself “traumatized”.

Jean-Claude Van Damme’s agent does not give credit to the testimony of the thirty-something. “A lady complaining about a situation? It’s possible. I don’t see the artist doing that. He is very careful, he is married, he has children”, he again commented to South Info.

The Brussels public prosecutor’s office did not wish to communicate further on the case. “Like any suspect, he benefits from the presumption of innocence”. recalled the spokesperson for the Brussels public prosecutor’s office.
