Jean-Jacques Bourdin compared to PPDA: the disturbing confidence of the ex-boss of TF1

In their book “TF1, Behind the scenes, secrets, internal wars” (Ed. Flammarion) published in 2016, Aude Dassonville and Jamal Henni collected the surprising confidences of Nonce Paolini about Jean-Jacques Bourdin.

In 2016, journalists Aude Dassonville and Jamal Henni unveiled behind the scenes of TF1, the giant of the small screen, in their book TF1, Behind the scenes, secrets, internal wars (Ed. Flammarion)”. To better understand the mechanisms of the first French channel and report its strengths and its flaws, the tandem of authors handed the microphone to Nonce Paolini, Group CEO from 2007 to 2016. The latter then pointed the finger at the behavior of two well-known figures of the PAF: “In the profession, there are two crazy people : Pepper and Jean-Jacques Bourdin.”

The parallel between the two personalities is however to be taken with tweezers. Although Jean-Jacques Bourdin — presumed innocent — was accused of attempted sexual assault by a former colleague, the former boss of TF1 did not further detail the adjective attributed to the former host of Bourdin Direct. However, he continued to refer the behavior of Patrick Poivre d’Arvor remembering a remarkable interview by Nicolas Sarkozy produced by the former star of the JT. And here the shock formula from the presenter:We have seen you very comfortable with the various heads of government. Even a little excited, like a little boy entering the big leagues…”

Differing opinions

As a reminder, The Parisian revealed last March that Patrick Poivre d’Arvor was aaccused of rape by the writer Florence PorceL. This denunciation had then led to the testimony of twenty-three other women concerning accusations of rape, sexual assault or sexual harassment. On the side of TF1, former colleagues of the host wanted to show their support for the latter. It’she case of Claire Chazal who said not to recognize inappropriate behavior attributed to PPDA: “The man they describe is not the one I knew, whom I knew well both personally and professionally“, she said on France Inter in December 2021.
