In a press release sent to AFP by his lawyer on Tuesday, Jean-Jacques Bourdin once again denies the accusations of inappropriate behavior and attempted sexual assault of which he is the target.
In an article published by Mediapart on Monday, journalists Fanny Agostini and Sidonie Bonnec spoke about the Bourdin affair, denouncing the journalist’s inappropriate behavior against them. Fanny Agostini, former presenter of Thalassa, has indeed revealed to be at the origin of the complaint “attempted sexual assault” filed against Jean-Jacques Bourdin in January 2022. As a reminder, she says that the journalist would have “grabbed by the neck” and “suddenly drawn to him” before trying to kiss her “several times” while she was in a hotel in Calvi, Corsica, where she was invited with Jean-Jacques Bourdin to cover the Petanque Open in 2013. The latter would then have thrown at him “I always get what I want“, before sending him, between September 2014 and spring 2015, several messages with a sexual connotation. On the sidelines of Fanny Agostini’s testimony, journalist Sidonie Bonnec also spoke about Jean-Jacques Bourdin’s behavior, mentioning invitation “puzzling” of the journalist, in 2010. Invited to a Festival in Calva, she had initially been assured by the BFMTV journalist that she would sleep at the hotel, before the latter finally informed her that the establishment was full, but that , through “luck“, he has “a villa with a friend”. “There is a swimming pool, don’t forget your bathing suit“, he would have added. “It wasn’t professional at all.”remembers Sidonie Bonnec.
Jean-Jacques Bourdin “firmly contests” the accusations against him
Following the Mediapart article, Jean-Jacques Bourdin sent a press release to AFP through his lawyer, Me Christian Saint-Palais, in which he “firmly denies having engaged in acts or attitudes likely to be repressed by law, both in his professional sphere and outside“. The statement continues:Jean-Jacques Bourdin discovers in the press the grievances formulated against him for the first time, often on condition of anonymity, for alleged facts sometimes more than twenty years old (…) He expresses his gratitude to those who support him.”
