Jean-Louis Murat, who died on May 25, 2023 at the age of 71, seemed to have a lot on the potato against concert halls. Indeed, in an interview with metro news on the occasion of the release of his new album “Morituri” in 2016, the singer explained that the turner had not wanted to organize a tour for him. He also returned to his relationship to politics.

Jean-Louis Murat seemed very angry with the turner in question: “The turner came to the conclusion that with this album, it was not going to be possible. No matter how much I freaked out, it was useless. It’s the first time in 25 years that I haven’t toured after a record. However, on my last tour, 9 out of 10 dates were sold out. It’s the crisis, the rooms take less risk and prefer to program big idiots like Renaud or Polnareff.

Jean-Louis Murat also returned to his relationship with politics, which he spoke about in one of his songs “Interroge la mare”. He explained: “If you have any doubts about the state of the world, ask a mare or an oiled bird! Ultraliberalism is a disaster. You have to see what you put in your body, physically and intellectually. As for the passage where I sing “on the terrace under the peaks / where everything weighed you are murdered”, I wrote it in July, well before the attacks. But I haven’t changed a line. We have so denied the existence of good and bad that this reality comes back to us.
