Jean-Louis Trintignant: who is his last wife Marianne Hoepfner?

The news fell on this Friday, June 17, 2022, Jean-Louis Trintignant, legend of French cinema, died. Who was Marianne Hoepfner, his last wife?

French cinema is losing one of its biggest names. Jean-Louis Trintignant died this Friday, June 17 at the age of 91. The comedian had prostate cancer, but his wife told the press that Jean-Louis Trintignant is dead “peacefully, of old age, this morning, at home, in the Gard, surrounded by his loved ones”.

The actor leaves behind suffering fans, but also, and of course, his loved ones. Among them, Marianne Hoepfner, his last wife.

Who is Marianne Hoepfner?

Marie-Anne Brigitte Fourton, her real name, was a French racing driver, in rallies but also in endurance competitions on circuits. A universe thus far removed from that of the 7th art. However, it is this common passion that led Jean-Louis Trintignant and Marianne Hoepfner to meet, and never to leave each other again.

The actor was indeed a member of the Star Racing Team, as were also Claude Brasseur, Guy Marchand and Johnny Hallyday. In 1982, the two lovers had also run the Monte-Carlo rally together. This passion gave birth to a very beautiful complicity between them, so much so thatthey got married in 2000years later.

It is thus Marianne Hoepfner, or Marie-Anne Brigitte Fourton, who accompanied the famous actor until his last breath. We wish him all our condolences and courage to face this terrible ordeal. Farewell Monsieur Trintignant, French cinema will miss you.
