Born in 1963 in Montreal, Jean-Marc Vallée had made himself known to the general public with CRAZY which he had written and directed in 2005. He then directed Victoria: The Young Years of a Queen (2009), then the very famous film Dallas Buyers Club, released in 2013, acclaimed at the Oscars. The film landed a nomination for Best Editing and the two actors, Jared Leto and Matthew McConaughey won a statuette.
