He categorically refuses to talk about himself… Conceived during the affair between Jacqueline Porel and Henri Salvador, Jean-Marie Périer was officially recognized at birth by his mother’s companion, François Périer. While he met the singer very late, it was in an interview with Jordan de Luxe for Tele-Leisure that the photographer assured to have only one father “the one to whom I owe everything“, he specified. Referring to Henri Salvador, he explained: “I no longer pronounce his name. He was a guy who had a lot of talent. I saw it on stage, it was great. Close to the one who adopted him, Jean-Marie Périer never wanted to be affiliated with his biological father. But hey, I can’t help it, you know, I’m old and you mustn’t piss me off. I chose my father and I don’t regret it. My father is François Périer, an extraordinary guy and I’ll stop there.“While he was a teenager when he learned the identity of his real father, he added:”It was at 16 that I was told: ‘Your father is not your father.’ It’s one of the worst times of my life, since that’s why I didn’t make music. Yes, it’s the worst moment of my life, but we’re getting over it!“

How did the meeting between Jean-Marie Poirier and Henri Salvador go?
