The former RN, who became spokesperson for Eric Zemmour’s campaign, leaves the Reconquest party! to resume previous activities.
Jean Messiha, former RN who became spokesperson for Eric Zemmour’s campaign, announced Thursday on CNews that he was leaving Reconquest! to resume previous activities. “I am more useful for the ideas of the national camp elsewhere,” said the former spokesperson for Eric Zemmour on the set of Jean-Marc Morandini. “With the campaign over, I am resuming my previous activities,” he added. “Eric Zemmour kindled hope, it was a great adventure” but “I want to resume my media, intellectual activity” in his Apollon think tank, he added.
Before him, Antoine Diers, former spokesman for Reconquête and deputy director of strategy, left the party shortly after the first round where Eric Zemmour won 7.07% of the vote.
“Everyone has their own reasons”
“People leave, each for their own reasons”, commented Jean Messiha, assuring that Eric Zemmour “will remain a friend”.
Jean Messiha, 51, former delegate for RN Studies, left this party in November 2020 accusing him of refusing any “current” within it. This regular on CNews sets had joined Eric Zemmour at the end of 2021. The campaign’s communications director, Isabelle Muller, also left her post. At the end of the contract, she will return to the European Parliament with the MEP Jérôme Rivière, who passed from the RN to Reconquête!. Reconquest! is about to go through a very delicate moment in the legislative elections: for the past ten days, the zemmourists have not stopped drumming on the door of the RN which refuses an agreement between the two far-right parties.
